Think you’ve got what it takes to dominate the tattoo game?

The All American Tattoo Battle is hitting the stage at the Fayetteville and Tacoma All American Tattoo Conventions in 2025—and it’s your chance to prove you’re the best in the business.

Here’s everything you need to know to enter and claim your spot in this ultimate showdown. 👇

🖌 Eligibility:

  • Must be a professional tattoo artist (no apprentices).
  • Must be tattooing at the show to secure an active tattoo permit.

  • Winner Takes All:
  • A year’s supply of Skin Reserve for their studio.
  • FK Irons Flux Max Ultra Bundle
  • A championship belt.
  • A free booth at the 2026 show to defend their title (or not, it’s optional).
  • Additional products may be provided to all participants by sponsors.

🔍 Competition Details:

  • Surprise Design: The tattoo stencil (linework) will be revealed when the contest begins. No one will know the subject matter in advance!
  • Lower Extremity Tattoos: Tattoos must be completed on the lower extremity (arms & legs) of a person the artist brings with them.
  • Flash Design: The stencil will be a 6×6-inch standard flash design. Artists may take creative liberties, but the final tattoo must stay true to the overall structure.
  • 4-Hour Time Limit: Artists have 4 hours to complete their tattoos. Tattoos must be presented on stage for photography and video after 4 hours. Tattoos not presented on time will not be judged.
  • Breaks: Artists may take as many breaks as they like, as long as they finish within the time limit.
  • The competition will be at 1 pm on Friday, April 11th, 2025.

⚙️ Supplies & Setup:

No supplies will be provided. Artists must set up their stations before the show opens on Friday (this includes inspected and approved to tattoo).

🧑‍⚖️ Judging & Voting:

  1. Judges will evaluate all tattoos and select the top three based on execution, creativity, and adherence to the stencil.
  2. Scoring System:
    • 3 points for 1st place, 2 points for 2nd place, and 1 point for 3rd place.
    • The judges scores will count for 50% of the overall score.
    1. Judges will discuss their feedback on stage, offering insights into their decisions, but once they have given their choices their votes will not be revealed until Sunday.
    2. In-Person Voting:
      • Public voting is in-person only at the voting/contest entry table. Each vote costs $1.
      • Tattoos will be displayed anonymously, with no names attached during voting or on-stage presentations.
      • All voting funds will be donated to VeteranInk.

    The tattoo with the most points on Sunday will be crowned the Tattoo Battle Champion
